You might have noticed the new “KN” cars on the road recently and started googling to find out more about this brand. You’re not alone. 30,000 people a month are googling and asking themselves the same thing! Read more to learn about this not-so-mysterious brand.
It turns out, the “KN” brand is KIA, which redesigned its logo at the start of 2021. KIA changed its logo the same time it launched its new cars, the Telluride, the K5, and the EV6. In an unexpected turn of events (or was it part of KIA’s plan?), more than 30,000 people a month are searching for “KN car”, a statistic that was discovered by ad agency owner Ashwinn Krishnaswamy on Twitter. Other common searches have included “KN car brand” and “what logo has the initial of KN”.
With its fluid block letters and disguised “i” and “a”, KIA’s new logo is sleek and futuristic. The logo change is part of a larger plan by KIA to rebrand and become a top leader in the evolving mobility sector. The new logo also came with a new slogan: “Movement that inspires”. We’re certainly inspired by this new logo and applaud KIA for its boldness, even if it has initially left thousands of Americans confused.
KIA’s new brand strategy, also known as “Plan S”, focuses on expanding towards
“sustainable mobility and enhancing the lives of clientele through experiences”.
This means expanding their electric vehicle product suite to 11 BEVs (battery electric vehicles) by 2025 and using clean energy and recycled materials in producing these vehicles. KIA’s most popular BEV to date is the KIA EV6. To learn everything you need to know about the KIA EV6 visit our blog here.
